Trip Outline
Day 1: Arrive at Kilimanjaro airport.
Your African representative from serengeti wilderness calls will be there to welcome and greet you upon your arrival. They will give you a brief overview of what to expect during your wildebeest calving safari in Tanzania. Following that, our experienced driver guide will take you to your accommodation in Arusha where you can spend the night.

Day 2: Arusha - Tarangire National Park
When every thing is done in the morning at the hotel, you can drive to Tarangire National Park, which is traversed by the Tarangire River that never dries up. This river is the only source of water during the dry season and draws hundreds of animals to the park, making it a wildlife and bird viewing spectacular. The landscape here is diverse, featuring grassy savannah plains, swamps, hills, and stunning baobab trees. You can enjoy a game viewing experience in the park and later before it gets dark, drive to the lodge for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Tarangire - Lake Manyara National Park
“Start your day right by fueling up with a delicious breakfas, then you can head to Lake Manyara National Park from Tarangire Lodge. The park is situated against the steep escarpment of the Rift Valley and boasts an evergreen groundwater forest along with a variety of ecosystems such as acacia woodland, grassy plains, a swampy fan delta, and, of course, the expansive lake.
This diversity of ecosystems attracts a wide range of mammal, bird, and wildlife species. The park is also home to rare tree-climbing lions, which is a unique sight to behold. You can experience excellent game viewing opportunities here, with buffalo, impala, giraffe, bushbuck, waterbuck, hippos, and elephants roaming around. Additionally, blue monkeys, vervet monkeys, and the very active Olive baboon troops can be found in high concentrations here. After a day filled with adventure and wildlife sightings, you can return to Karatu lodges for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Karatu lodge-lake eyasi visit (hadzabe and datoga)
On your itinerary, you have an early breakfast planned at your lodge followed by a drive to Lake Eyasi. During this excursion, you will have the opportunity to learn about different styles of life in the bush and even try your hand at hunting with them.
Later on, you will visit a blacksmith who specializes in using iron and other materials to craft tools like knives and arrows. These tools are used for hunting and protection against their enemies. Interestingly, the arrows are often tipped with poison to make the killing of an animal easier. After experiencing all of these activities, you will return to Karatu for dinner and overnight at one of the lodges.

Day 5: Karatu-crater tour
Early in the morning you will have breakfast, then you’ll head out to Ngorongoro Crater for a full day of game viewing. This area is known for its abundance of wildlife as well as the Maasai people who call it home. During the game drive, you’ll stop to enjoy a lunch box at a scenic spot inside the crater that your guide will take you to. After lunch, the game viewing continues until late afternoon when your guide will drive you back to your lodge in Karatu for an overnight stay.

Day 6: southern Serengeti-wildebeest calving at Ndutu /February-march
After you have finished your breakfast, you can drive to Ndutu and Serengeti southern part to witness the wildebeest calving. This natural phenomenon begins around January when pregnant wildebeest give birth, and by February, about 8,000 baby wildebeest are born every day. During this time, other animals are also present in the area. However, there are also many dangerous animals that come to hunt the young wildebeest, which are easier to catch.
It is common to see predators like lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, black-backed jackals, and vultures during this time. It is also likely to witness a predator-prey interaction, which is great for wildlife photographers but unfortunate for the wildebeest. You can have a game drive around Big Marsh and Small Marsh in the Ndutu area, where you can enjoy your picnic lunch box from your lodge. Later on, you can drive to glamping tented lodge, Serengeti-ndutu glamping lodge, or Ndutu Lodge.

Day 7: full day game drive-ndutu Area-Serengeti.
Start your day with an early morning game drive and savor the stunning African sunrise with a warm cup of coffee in your hand. You can opt for a full day drive with lunch boxes, or discuss with your safari guide if you prefer a hot lunch, box lunch, or take a hamper with you from the lodge. Later, end your day with a sunset drive and make sure you return to your lodge before dark. It’s a great way to enjoy the beautiful African landscape.

Day 8: Ndutu-Serengeti-seronera River adventures.
It’s a great idea to begin your day with a scrumptious breakfast before embarking on an exciting game viewing adventure at Serengeti Seronera. Spend the whole day on game drives exploring the diverse landscapes, rock formations, marshes, and swamps in the area. After that, you can look forward to a mouth-watering dinner and a comfortable overnight stay at your Serengeti glamping tented camp or lodge.

Day 9: Serengeti game drive
On your full-day game drive for Wildebeest calving – Ndutu Area, the focus will be on lions’ pride and cats in general. It’s important to discuss meal plans with your guide before heading out each day, and this discussion usually takes place during dinner time. You can choose to have your packed lunch from your lodge or go back to your hotel for a hot lunch. Later on, you can drive to your lodge for dinner and spend the night there

DAY 10: Serengeti Zanzibar.
Start your day off right with a delicious breakfast and conquer whatever challenges come your way!, you can head to Seronera Airstrip to catch a flight to Zanzibar or back to Arusha. You also have the option to fly directly to Zanzibar for a more relaxing vacation. Don’t worry about lunch, as the lodge will provide a lunch box for you.
