Trip Outline

Day 1: Arrive at Kilimanjaro airport.

Upon your arrival for , our African representative will be there to welcome and greet you. They will provide you with a brief overview of what to expect during your safari in Tanzania. After that, our skilled driver guide will take you to your accommodation in Arusha where you can spend the night.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you can head to Tarangire National Park, which is home to the Tarangire River, a water source that never dries up. This river attracts numerous animals to the park, making it a perfect location for wildlife and bird watching. The park has a diverse landscape that features grassy savannah plains, swamps, hills, and beautiful baobab trees. You can spend your time in the park enjoying a game viewing experience before driving back to the lodge before dark for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Tarangire – Lake Manyara National Park

After you finish your breakfast, you can make your way to Lake Manyara National Park from Tarangire Lodge. The park is located against the steep escarpment of the Rift Valley and is home to an evergreen groundwater forest and a variety of ecosystems such as acacia woodland, grassy plains, a swampy fan delta, and the expansive lake. Due to the diversity of ecosystems, a wide range of mammal, bird, and wildlife species can be found here.

The park is particularly famous for its rare tree-climbing lions, which are a sight to behold. You can enjoy excellent game viewing opportunities here, with buffalo, impala, giraffe, bushbuck, waterbuck, hippos, and elephants roaming around. Additionally, blue monkeys, vervet monkeys, and the very active Olive baboon troops are in high concentrations here. After an exciting day filled with adventure and wildlife sightings, you can return to Karatu lodges for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Karatu lodge-lake eyasi visit (hadzabe and datoga)

On your itinerary, you have an early breakfast planned at your lodge followed by a drive to Lake Eyasi. During this excursion, you will have the opportunity to learn about different styles of life in the bush and even try your hand at hunting with them. Later on, you will visit a blacksmith who specializes in using iron and other materials to craft tools like knives and arrows.

These tools are used for hunting and protection against their enemies. Interestingly, the arrows are often tipped with poison to make the killing of an animal easier. After experiencing all of these activities, you will return to Karatu for dinner and overnight at one of the lodges.

Day 5: Karatu-crater tour.

After breakfast, you’ll be visiting Ngorongoro Crater for an entire day of game viewing. It’s a well-known area for its rich wildlife and the Maasai people who reside there. While on the game drive, you’ll have a chance to stop at a scenic location inside the crater for lunch, which will be provided in a lunch box by your guide. Day 6: serengeti-seronera

Begin your day with a scrumptious breakfast and embark towards Serengeti Seronera for a thrilling game viewing experience. Enjoy a full-day game drive exploring the diverse landscapes, rock formations, marshes and swamps around the area. After the game drive, retreat to your Serengeti glamping tented camp or lodge for a delectable dinner and a cozy overnight stay. During the day, you will have your picnic lunch box from your lodge. Later on, head to your preferred destination – Glamping Tented Lodge, Serengeti-Ndutu Glamping Lodge, or Ndutu Lodge – for a comfortable and relaxing evening.

Day 7: full day game in seronera/western serengeti Grumeti area.

You can begin your Days Western Corridor Safari early with an exciting game drive and relish the beautiful African sunrise with a cup of coffee in your hand. You can choose to have a full day with lunchboxes or discuss your preferences with your safari guide for a hot lunch, box lunch, or even take a hamper from the lodge with you. In the evening, you can enjoy a sunset drive and return to your lodge before dark.

Day 8: Seronera- river circuit. full day game drives.

After enjoying your breakfast, you can embark on a full game drive around the Serengeti to experience its vastness and beautiful plains. The name “Serengeti” originates from the Maasai word “siring,” which means “endless plain.” During your game drive, you will have the opportunity to witness the Eastern Serengeti Namiri plain, which is a great place to see cheetahs in their natural habitats.

You may also spot hyena dens and lion prides roaming around greenish marshes or rocks (kopjes), just like in the famous Lion King cartoon movie. Later on, you can drive to Seronera River for hippo viewing creek. The best time to see a hippo yaun is around 5 p.m. when they come out for grazing. After an exciting day of game drives and wildlife viewing, you can return to your Glamping tented camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 9: Serengeti game drive

After breakfast, it’s recommended to focus on lions and other cats. To ensure proper meal planning, it’s best to discuss with your guide during dinner time each day. You can have your packed lunch from your lodge or go back to your hotel for a hot lunch. Later, you can drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Options for lodges include Lahia Lodge, Mbalageti Lodge, or Serengeti Serena Lodge. This is to make sure you enjoy your Days Western Corridor Safari </p>

DAY 10: Serengeti Zanzibar.

At the last day of your Days Western Corridor Safari After having breakfast, you could head to Seronera/ Grumeti airstrip and take a flight to Zanzibar or return to Arusha for a day room. Alternatively, you could fly directly to Zanzibar and enjoy another relaxing place. Don’t worry about lunch, the lodge will provide a lunch box for you.
